How is Quest different from other gig economy platforms?
Quest is an innovative digital community that allows anyone to get help for anything. Unlike other gig economy platforms which focus on professional tasks, Quest positions itself as a peer-to-peer community.
No problem is too big – or too small – for a Hero on Quest. People have used the platform to request for professional freelance services, casual errands, help with work tasks, informal coding lessons and more.
How does Quest work?
Curious to try Quest for yourself? Here’s how you can get started.
- Download the Quest app and choose an identity (Hero or Citizen) to start things off. Citizens make requests, and Heroes swoop in to help. You can easily toggle this identity later. Quest believes that anyone can be both a Hero and Citizen, depending on the situation!

- Pick a niche! Whether you’re a Citizen or Hero, Quest wants to know your strengths so you can offer your talents later on should you choose to.

- Input your payment details so that you can easily transfer or receive funds for completed tasks. Quest uses Stripe Payments, a well-known payment processing platform that is often used on other platforms.
- Craft a short bio that will let people know who you are and what you do! If you are a Hero, adding pictures of your portfolio will definitely help increase your credibility.
Heroes can send Citizens messages to clarify questions about the task and send an offer to help. Citizens can accept the offer from a Hero or from multiple Heroes if it is a Group Quest that requires a few people to help. Once the task is completed, Citizens can release payment to Heroes via the Quest app.
Quest charges a meagre 10% service fee for every Quest completed.
Apart from the app, Quest maintains a Telegram channel featuring selected Quests. This creates even greater awareness for the Quests to get taken up by suitable Heroes and is a convenient way of staying updated on interesting Quests.

Verdict
Quest is a great app for casual gig workers or anyone looking to make a quick buck. Whether you’re a professional freelancer or an everyday person, there’s sure to be something you can get – or offer – on this peer-to-peer services marketplace!
